Purpose (objective) of the Call

• The objective of this call is to support a faster and better adaptation of the economy to current and future environmental requirements, and, through investments in the green transition and the development of green skills, to help reduce negative impacts on climate and the environment, increase the sustainability of production, preserve existing jobs and create new ones, and strengthen local and regional competitiveness.

Subject of the Call

• The subject of this Call is to encourage productive investments by small, medium, and mid-cap enterprises from energy-intensive industries, which will result in a more energy- and resource-efficient economy by promoting the circular economy through the introduction of resource efficiency into the production cycle and product life cycle — including the sustainable supply of primary and secondary raw materials and/or decarbonization — as well as increasing the use of renewable energy sources and reducing emissions from energy-intensive industries.

Expected results of implementation:

• Increase in employment
• Reduced greenhouse gas emissions
• Reduction of resources used in production
• Savings in annual primary energy consumption
• Increase in the share of secondary raw material replacing primary raw material

SUMMARY: The purpose and general objective of the project is the modernization and improvement of the production processes of the applicant, PLETIX d.o.o., through investments in resource-efficient machinery and renewable energy sources. The applicant plans to invest in a metal-processing machine and the construction of a solar power plant.
The investment does not increase production capacity; rather, the old hydraulic machine is being replaced with a new electric machine, which is planned to achieve, in addition to reduced electricity consumption, savings in resources used.
